This company is great! I had a leak in my bathroom and was told that it was my shower faucet. Then I got hold of Green Acre Plumbing from Angie's List and Joe came out. He examined the faucet and said no -- the leak was probably coming from one of the pipes in the wall. To make a long story short, he fixed the problem in a short time and the price was reasonable. I was so impressed with his work that I gave copies of his card to a couple of my neighbors and one of them met with Joe about a problem they are having. I highly recommend this company and I hope you get Joe because he is one of the best plumbers.

You support a dream when you support a small business, and that's what I intended to do when I chose Greenacre Plumbing to solve my basement flooding issue. They came out 25 June 2018 to analyze my issue and offer a quote. Greenacre verbally quoted me $1,000 for a 5-foot french drain to route to my existing sump pump drainage and a sump pump replacement. Greenacre showed up to my home 27 June 2018 and began work prior to issuing the proposal. In my haste, I agreed without thoroughly reviewing it. This was my fault and I own that. I trusted Greenacre's verbal word without reviewing the proposal in its entirety because I trusted Jeff and because they reported to my home first thing prior to sending the proposal. Greenacre came out for a few days and dug up my yard, but did not finish the work. My basement flooded on 21 July 2018. Greenacre did not complete the work that began 27 June 2018. Greenacre pushed my project aside to tackle more pressing issues. I manually removed the water for hours, but gave up when I realized where the water came from. The water seeped through the spray foam that Greenacre used to seal the hole that they drilled in my brick stairwell in June 2018. I was grateful that Jeff brought a temporary pump to my house on 22 July 2018 around 1300 hours. It was during this interaction that he insisted that the flooding was not Greenacre's fault, although the work was not complete and my written proposal did not include a new sump pump. I explained that I chose Greenacre for this project because we vehemently discussed a sump pump installation when Jeff initially came to my house. He also insisted that I should use my homeowner's insurance to cover the damage to my bamboo floors and my photography equipment, because it was not his fault that the work was not compete in almost a month after they began. Jeff agreed to provide a new sump pump, which he purchased from Lowe's and installed 22 July 2018. He gave me the box that the sump pump came in from Lowe's. I returned to Fort Lee first thing Monday morning on 23 July 2018 for training. I was content with the installation of the new sump pump even though my yard was still completely destroyed. My basement flooded again 23 July 2018 while I was away at Fort Lee for training, and I all could do was watch the water fill in the stairwell from my security camera. I reached out to Jeff at 1926 hours to inform him of the flooding and insisted that I would have a different company complete the work if Greenacre was unable to complete it. Jeff did not seal the hole that was in my stairwell after he installed the sump pump, and that is where the water continued to leak in from. I explained that the dirt needed to be filled properly, and the drain needed to be completed so that the water would not run back into the stairwell from the drain his company installed. A representative from the company came to my home 24 June 2018 to remove the temporary pump and complete the job. After going back and forth for several weeks, Greenacre completed the job and received payment on 10 August 2018. My basement flooded again on 23 February 2019 and the water filled my stairwell through the drain Greenacre installed. The sump pump that Jeff purchased from Lowe's on 22 July 2018 did not work either. I reached out to Jeff and inquired about the 2-year warranty that Greenacre provided for their work. He informed me on 24 February 2019 that I would incur a service fee if the problem was related to electrical issues or if the sump pump failed. I canceled his visit to my home today and informed Jeff that I would have a different company come out, because he did not provide me with a copy of the receipt from Lowe's to utilize the 1-year warranty with the sump pump. Amazon charges $271.19 to install a sump pump and a WAYNE CDU980E costs $159.99. Instead of paying a service fee, I'd rather pay $431.18 for a new sump pump than use Greenacre.
