The Bold & The Beautiful | Jul 2014 | Personality and functionality ooze from this bright and cheery 1-cook kitchen. One of the cheeriest spaces out there.and no walls were harmed in the production of this kitchen. Production line cabinets were ordered in blue, green and yellow. The red was custom painted on-site to exact the color match with the pantry pocket door. Existing ceiling lighting was retained for the process of recompartmentalization. Walk-in pantry pocket door concept was based on a British phone booth. Storage shelving was designed to accommodate all the storables. A small island includes eating bar above prep area to accommodate family of 4. A microwave hood vent is the result of storage taking precedence. | $95k | Redmond, WA
Kitchen Exposed Addition | Jul 2014 | An 8-foot expansion toward the back yard made it feasible to integrate a roof deck off the master suite and arrange the kitchen for year-round entertaining. Custom inset cabinetry creates a furniture look for 2-tone quartz and marble countertops. A 12-foot wide folding door system allow the new interior space to flow into a stone patio. | $290k | Redmond, WA
Wood Stone Master Bath | Jul 2014 | This bathroom was completely redefined by relocating the shower and modifying windows and interior walls. Finish details include composite countertops and wood grain rectangular tiles and stone shower floor, eluding to a feeling of nature. Features include heated floor, steam shower and concealed pull out door with plugged in hair dryer and other electrical accessories. | $150k | Bellevue, WA
Fir Trellis Ensuite | Aug 2013 | Chrysalis Award Winning Project Bath Remodel Over $60,000 Open and airy with fir trellis defining bathing and vanity areas, this master suite was expanded into the adjacent guest bath. The entire floor area of the new master bath needed to be raised one step for 2 reasons. First: to support the weight of a filled tub, and second: for draining it. Above the cardecking floor, tripled and quadrupled 26 joists span from the outer wall to an interior exposed beam line in the kitchen below. The new load is then transferred to a notched beam connection that required an upgrade to bronze-plated hardware. The new tub drain was routed around the near end of the quadrupled joists to connect with the new shower drain into the existing soffit below. Clear fir cabinets, doors, trellis and millwork were all pre-finished off site after having been dry fit and disassembled. General lighting is dimmable monorail hung off the centerline beam and powered through the structural column centered on the mirror. Electrically heated floors are continuous throughout the entire space, including shower pan. | $200k | Bellevue, WA
Lakeside Modernization | Mar 2013 | Award-winning daylight rambler reconfiguration on constraining site. Reconfiguration of the exising kitchen/living room area yielded a more gracious entertaining space with unobstructed views and natural lighting. Intentional design programing yielded conforming the appliances and cabinetry to the occupants, rather than just for aesthetics. A combination of drawers and doors were configured to accommodate specific storage and task needs. Abiance and entertainment are viewable from the kitchen to maintain an inclusive feel. A 12-place rustic table comforably stretches broadways across the fireplace. | $300k | Redmond, WA
Red Stripe Kitchen | Mar 2012 | A 3-foot addition toward the back yard widened the kitchen enough to change the peninsula to a large island. The adjacent family room received a new entertainment center and focus on the fireplace. Outside, the dining room windows were changed to patio doors under a new trellis and outdoor firepit. | $200k | Kirkland, WA

All Season Entertaining | Dec 2010 | In this outdoor escape in Sammamish, WA, upper and lower year-round entertaining areas were integrated into the home and landscape. An outdoor fireplace is nestled between support columns with 3rd zone of dimmable lighting. A concrete planter surrounds a stone fireplace under an eyebrow roof with an impermeable deck surface above. A seamless 4-coat textured surface modeled and colorized after natural stone tile sloped deck surface. Stainless grille set in granite top and stone facade extension of fireplace below. Powder-coated steel and 3/8 tempered glass rail system connected to spiral stairway with metal treads. | $160k | Sammamish, WA
Mediterranean Patio | Sep 2008 | A monumental re-build of a failing elevated patio. The patio and wall systems appeared to be in good shape until they were removed, exposing a substantial amount of rotted framing material. Existing structural elements were maintained while water saturated sub deck materials were replaced and waterproofed. Cast concrete ballustrade set on foundation wall over waterproofed membrane and pedestal pavers. Built-in swim spa with LED lighting was protected, maintained and serviced during the reconstruction process. | $600k | Redmond, WA |
