This was the most horrible experience of my life (and I've had cancer-nuf' said!) Hack job work, expired license, improper permitting, a dozen other breaches of contract and a little fraud for good measure. I'm suck a SUCKER. Nothing he did has passed any of the city inspection. Costing a fortune to undo all the damage. I may has well have thrown my life savings into the fire.

This company is the WORST! To start with, the salesperson, Regev Cohen is excellent at sales. He is friendly and easily makes you feel as though you are going to get a professional and competent remodeling team. Believing he will deliver on his promises, you sign the contract and then you rarely see him again. The frustration and shabby work begins. For us it began with a scratch on our wood floors during demolition. Of course Reggie had assured us that the floors would be covered and protected prior to any work. And it goes downhill from here. It's hit and miss when a worker will show up or what they will do on any type of schedule. We were assigned a "project manager", Rafael, who was supposed to supervise the crew and he showed up for an hour or so on a few days, and not at all on most. When the work crew cut through a plumbing "U" joint, it caused water to run across my ceiling and down a kitchen can light. If I hadn't been at home, it would have gone unnoticed. 5 minutes later, they turned the water on with a valve open. Again, the water poured through a kitchen can light. Of course, Rafael wasn't on the job site to supervise. His only comment later was "good thing the can light was there for the water to drain". I asked the worker to clean up the standing water still on top the ceiling drywall but he said "I'll check it tomorrow". Rafael was not there to insure more water didn't turn my drywall into wet chalk. Now I have to worry about future mold! When the tub was installed, they chipped a large chunk off the tile flange. This was caused by using a large dry wall screw to secure the tub to the studs. A simple metal washer around the screw would have prevented something like this from happening in the first place. (See photo). Of course, Rafael wasn't there when it happened and the crew didn't tell me. I had to find it myself. After initial demolition, they brought out the electrician. We told them that we thought it was too early for an electrician, but they insisted they take accurate measurements and "not to worry". Of course the electrical plugs were installed too low for the vanity (see photo) so the crew installing the vanity quit early that day. Of course, no "project manager" was around. We text Reggie and Rafael (who does not use email or want to be texted?) and asked what would be done to correct the mistake and move forward. No one even bothered to return our email. Someone just showed up two days later. If this site will allow it, I will attach a lot of pictures with descriptions of their sub-standard work. The photos will best explain why to stay away from this company. It's not only sub-standard work that would embarrasses any professional tradesman, it's the complete lack of competent supervision by anyone in this company with a contractor's license! We were told more times than we can remember that a "job foreman" or "project manager" would be there tomorrow. Of course, they never showed up. It seems the only expertise this company has is making false promises and inflated boasts of their work product. I also believe that this company tried to minimize their cost by only having one employee on site most days. This one person did electrical, plumbing, drywall, painting, moldings and almost the entire job himself. I felt sorry for this man because he was friendly and did the best he could but seemed to have unrealistic expectations placed on him by Regev. He was expected to be a jack of all trades, but we all know, no one is master of all. One clear example of the lack of coordination and communication with this company occurred when someone other than the worker called for an inspection on Monday. When my wife mentioned this to the worker, he was upset and said "I'm not ready for inspection" and called the contractor. And, as always, Rafael, the "project manager", was not there. One hand never knew what the other was doing the entire project. I could continue to write about the sub-standard, unprofessional and general poor work of this construction company but I need to use the time to prepare my complaint to the contractor's licensing board and other review sites. If you would like to know more, please feel free to contact me. I wish you the best of luck in your remodel choices. I terminated the contract with his company because their work was sub-standard and it was the only way I could end the nightmare and move forward. I have hired a new contractor and will seek legal resolution with this company. I'm a 68 year old retired college instructor who doesn't want anyone else have to go through what I did with this company. I did write Angie’s List about this company and the fictitious reviews on their website and they were removed from the list for fraudulent testimonials and reviews about their “outstanding” service. I have attached a screenshot of the Angie’s notice. The company has since changed their website.

I can't believe how great home in style construction was,mr. Cohen showed up on time, we hit it off from the start, I already knew what I wanted, Reggie was so patient and listen to everything I told him, after listening to everything I wanted, he offered some really great ideas too. He had a great selection of styles and colors for the countertops and backsplash. We decided on a tile that is just gorgeous and it's still beautiful. Nice countertops too and he refaced our cabinets and put two glass doors above the stove. Tile tile for the floor was the perfect fit for my kitchen and it all came together so beautifully and he also did our deck for us too. The workers were carefuland considerate and always cleaned up I strongly recommend this company to anyone.

My fiancee referred me to home in style construction after they did her bathroom at her parents, for my kitchen, Reggie gave me some really great ideas. He put in custom cabinets, quartz counter tops, and even found the farm house sink of my fiance's dreams. They did a nice job and everything came out exactly like my fiance and I wanted, we will definateley use them for any future remodels.
