Kreg was quick to respond to my initial inquiries. He came over to my house, did a design consultation and estimate ($4600), accepted a deposit ($750) and said he would begin the last week of October 2015. He finally began in the last week of November 2015, had to be monitored EVERY SINGLE STEP OF THE WAY to prevent shoddy or half-finished work, and when the job began to take longer than he anticipated, he and his crew sped up, trying to get the job finished as soon as humanly possible. The quality suffered terribly. On his "last day" I told him plainly that I did not consider the work finished at all, presented him a punch list of items I wanted finished. He looked me right in the eye and said he understood, and that he was going to get these items taken care of for me. Then I foolishly gave him payment in full as he promised to return the next week to take care of that list. That was two and a half months ago, and he has ignored all my attempts at communication. He does not respond to phone calls, texts, or emails. The shoddy works includes: insufficient coating of paint applied in spots, excessive stain applied, uneven sanding in spots, overtly visible joints throughout, caulking peeling away at the joints, and worst of all... A BANK OF DRAWERS THAT ARE UNEVEN AND DO NOT LINE UP, BOTH VERTICALLY, AND IN TERMS OF DEPTH. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE WORK ON THOSE DRAWERS. Kind of stunning that ANY carpenter would think for a minute that the client would be okay with the work he did on those drawers. Also failed to install the last shelf that was agreed he would install. I even offered to pay him an additional $175 to come back and fix the drawers and put up that shelf. But he will not respond to me at all. Total radio silence.
