What Joshua Stone enjoys most about being a home inspector is helping home buyers and homeowners make educated decisions about their potential new home. He does this by performing an in-depth inspection of the home and takes his time to explain each of his findings with his clients. At that time and in his reports, he points out maintenance items and what will be necessary to keep the home in good shape. After the inspection is performed, his clients have a clear idea of what needs to be done at the property. Joshua always had an interest in real estate from a young age. His personal experience with his own home inspector was one of the reasons he became an inspector himself. The inspector was not thorough and missed several large items that cost him a significant amount of money to repair. That experience created a desire within him to not let this unfortunate situation happen to other potential homeowners. Joshua took the required courses to become a Certified Professional Inspector at the New York Home Inspector School. His eagerness to learn lead him to continue taking additional courses after obtaining his initial license. He is certified in wood destroying organisms and is also a mold assessor. Joshua started Stone Home Inspections, LLC. along with his wife, Lisa in 2016. Owning and operating his own company is a dream come true. In just a few short years, the company has grown to a multi inspector company with inspectors that trained directly with Joshua. Stone Home Inspections services Westchester, Orange, Putnam,Dutchess Counties as well as the five boroughs, Long Island and Connecticut. His goal is to give homeowners peace of mind and providing them with useful information they can use to make a more informed decision when purchasing and maintaining their homes.
