Scotts Handyman Service

The worst. Hired to do paint and wood work. Took money for "supplies" and then never showed up. He was either sick or someone else was sick. He was bit by a spider, the weather was to bad or any other excuse. NEVER came back. At one point he said he didn't have a car!!! Told us he had to return the supplies to get cash; then said he was waiting for payment from another job. Save yourself a big headache. Don't work with this guy. Cashed our check that day! Still trying to get our money back.

My siblings own a home that occassionally needs work to the specification of the home owners association. The first service performed by Scott and his two associates was fine although one of his staff really made a mess of the bathroom. Unbeknown to me, my sister used this same service for exterior repairs to garage trim. It was done well but while in process his machines caused a fuss to be blown causing more repair and service. When I was advised by my my sister that we did not receive any compensation for the additional expense we paid, I was shocked since his machines/ service caused all of the external outlets to be blown. My sister also sent me a picture of the outdoor light figure. With smart phone, you can get prices and the near by store that sell them. Our family was gouged. The initial price she was quoted was correct but the price for payment was 50%, that correct 50% more than initially quoted. We will not be using this handyman service again. Not if I am involved in the payment. One thing I cannot understand is why the check was not payable to Scott's Handyman Service. That seemed strange.
