| New Roof | Apr 2015 | Installed a roof system, after having 2 roofs replaced since. 2005 And seeing what wasn't done on the past roof replacement When deciding to go with Ragusa and seeing all the additional steps that Ragusa did make me a believer that if every roof was done the Ragusa way such as what's all removed and preparation to the deck and structure Inside the attic took a whole day, that made me feel great that they were doing everything we talked about. Now I understand what Mike Ragusa was saying when he said "The shingles is the icing on the cake, it's what's not seen that makes a roof perform". plus using fresh materials that haven't been sitting outside for a year. | Blair Seven Condo Roof Replacements | Jan 2014 | Building: 5133 Blair Lane, BR, LA Removed all roofing materials down to sheeting including old roofing nails. Re-Nailed sheeting using 2 inch ring-shank sheeting nails. Replaced some rafters and rotten sheeting, Installed Knee -Wall and Strong-Back's in attic to remove dips that occurred from heat- dried rafters boards. Installed Ice & Water-shield IN-AROUND and ALONG; Valleys, Side-walls, Head-walls, Chimneys, Plumbing-Pipes, Heater-Vents, Etc. Removed Siding on Side-Walls and around Chimney's in order to remove Old Flashing. Install new custom fabricated Counter-Flashing's designed to be used with Step-Flashing for the Side-walls. Custom Fabricated and installed 24 Gage, Bronze Chimney Cricket. Installed UL Rated High-End Organic Felt Paper. Installed D-Style Bronze Drip Edge with Extra-Wide Nail Fin to insure the Drip-Edge was nailed to the roof's sub-straight and NOT nailed to the Fascia or Sub-Fascia, should Fascia ever need replacing, the roof will never be compromised by having to remove Shingles, and Drip Edge. Installed the correct amount of Attic Ventilation by cutting a Larger strip out of the sheeting along the ridge's to insure a proper draft occurs to remove hot humid air in summer and cool moist air in winter. Installed Valley Metal over Ice and Water-Shield in valleys. Installed Kick-Out Flashing on left and right side-walls of chimney's. Installed GAF Timberline HD Lifetime ,Weather Wood shingles installed with the 5th course being a full length shingles (No Raking on any roof's installed by Ragusa to reduce waste). Installed GAF Z-Ridge, using 1 3/4 inch roofing nail on Hip's and installed GAF Timbertex Ridge Shingle's over shingle-over-ridge vent.
