Crighton/Cooper Construction and Design

My experience was not great. We hired Kirk to remodel our basement (bathroom, bedroom, living room) in June 2015. Now in June 2018 we are having to have the majority of the work he did repaired. I was initially unhappy because he really kind of just faded off and didn't really put the finishing touches on the job, but now I am seeing the type of unprofessional shoddy work that was really done being the scenes. There was trash, literally TRASH, under the flooring. The walls were not square, because nothing was leveled. About 50% of the outlets were cut too big and he used big outlet covers to cover it up. There was one place where there was a hole in the dry wall covered by a fake outlet cover! The dry wall was in contact with the concrete floor and now is rotten after 3 years. There was one wall that I'm just not sure what happened, it was 6 inches thick at one end and over 12 inches thick at the other. He had to use extra shims and pieces of dry wall INSIDE the wall to mount the drywall to... This means the dry wall was not mounted to the wall studs, but to small pieces of wood and cuts of extra drywall. Plus there was a screw through a wire leading to an outlet, we are lucky the house hasn't burned down in the past 3 years. I would never recommend this business to anyone EVER. I have picture of all of this if anyone wants to see it.
