Wrightstown pool

Aug 2017

This was a bank owned property which required our green to clean service, followed by weekly maintenance and closing in one month. The project became much more involved due to the fact the home was unoccupied, there was initially an undetermined source of water loss, and the source water was well not city. In addition to clearing up the pool several visits were required to return and shut off the fill water after vacuuming the pool to waste. Due to the high iron content in the well water, everytime more water was added the pool required metal treatment to remediate the rust colored haze that would appear. The real estate company was notified of a non-funtioning bottom drain in which the original company who replaced the liner, pump, and filter had returned to investigate with no solution in place. There was still a noticeable amount of water loss in which case the realtor did not wish to proceed with leak detection. It was decided the pool would be closed the following week. While blowing out the main drain line the leak was discovered to be in the plumbing and was replaced the following day. The new home owners should now have a problem free pool come this Spring.

Trenton Pool

Jul 2017

Green to clean project. Homeowner was new to pool ownership. Previous homeowner had opened the pool to clear water. New homeowner did not know to leave the filter running several hours each day or about chemical balancing resulting in a dark green algae bloom over a 2 week period. Pool was shocked using liquid chlorine and granular cal-hypo chlorine + water balancing. The challenge with clearing up this pool was the filtration. It is an older pool with only one skimmer in the deep end and one return in the shallow end. It was also found once the water was clear that the DE filter was shooting DE back into the pool. The pool required 4 back to back visits of shocking and balancing water with several vacuuming to waste. Once clear and the filter issue revealed, the filter grids were inspected and the torn grids replaced. With weekly maintenance and the filter running 5-6 hours during the day time the pool remained crystal clear and balanced until closing in September.

Medford Pool

Jul 2017

This pool was closed late in November of 2016 after most of the leaves had fallen from the trees above. Upon opening the pool it was found that there was at least a 1-foot layer of leaves throughout the bottom of the pool. This clean up required one visit with 2 guys just scooping debris from the pool bottom for several hours. Liquid chlorine was used for shocking since the homeowners had not picked up the DE filter grid from the previous pool company. The following day the water had began turning from a murky brown to a clear brown/green color. A vacuum to waste was done removing most of the remaining debris and algae that had settled down overnight. The pool required 2 more visits once the filter was running to vacuum and shock again and to balance the water. The pool was balanced and crystal clear just in time for the family's big party on July 7th. With weekly service, the pool remained sparkling until closure in October.
