I worked recently for Brent Larson, Larson Outdoor Unlimited owner, and know first hand his incompetence and disdain for his employees and customers. I was the lead carpenter to build accessibility ramps for 2 mobile homes in Hutchinson. He failed to get permits to both ramps and I had to completely rebuild one ramp because the ramp design by Brent Larson wouldn’t meet ADA requirements. That homeowner was very unhappy and Brent openly showed his hated for the customer. Later I helped install an egress window in Princeton, where Brent failed to provide the necessary tools and materials for the employees to do the job. Finally, I installed a front door on a home where Brent built a concrete ramp. The ramp does not meet ADA requirements and again he failed to provide me the nessecary materials to complete the job, so I purchased them myself. After I completed the front door install, Brent refused to pay me $1,500 he owed me to reimburse me for the materials I bought and the labor. I have no choice but to place a lien on the home, to recover the money he owes me. It’s unfortunate, because the homeowner is disabled and in a wheelchair. He also is very happy with the work. Brent larson is an incompetent and a shady contractor! Avoid him at all cost!

You were there ME: I know I was there I’m just the PM. I’m not sure that is what she told me. I think she concerned about how you reacted when I said I did not want that board because it’s split. I’m not sure. I’m not her Brent LarsonYou are funny. That is your home. You’re the only person I’ve been in contact with You match the number and Facebook profile. So help me understand this mystery person . How would she have concerns If she hasn’t been there? Payment is based on the job not if your feelings got hurt. ME: It’s not my home. I live here but don’t own it Brent Larson: If payment isn’t received tomorrow, we will be filing a lien against your property on Monday ME:My home is owned under a trust fund handle by a woman named B Anderson. ME: A Lein? Brent Larson: Yes ME: It’s not my property so you can’t Brent Larson: Job is completed, and you approved it. We will get paid Brent Larson: I’ve been doing this for 30 years and you’re not the first person to try and scam out of paying. Yes I can lean. ME: I’m not scamming you. Natalie Anderson: I’m not scamming you Brent Larson:Ok you keep telling yourself that. I know how to paid what’s owed me ME: Wow why you so rude you where rude on the property how can you talk to people like this and have business Brent Larson: read your contract that you signed. You are to pay upon completion. And I don’t want to do any more work for you. Pay by tomorrow or we will Leiden Lien me: Why won’t you do more work for me because I asked you to change a board that was spilt Natalie Anderson: You will pay for mine this is harassment Brent Larson : Lol I had this company come and fix a fence I told him that it is a split pay from me and the trustee. I would pay him after she looks at it. Because she had some concerns with how it was done and how he treated me after I told him to take off the spilt board he then yelled at me saying " come on are you serious" I said yes there are many boards right there no need to use a split one. He then yells back at me no need to talk to me like that. After he attacked me. I then told him that I am going to have the trustee look at this and I will pay you. FYI I did pay right away for the down payment so he knows I can pay. But I told him 4 times this was a trust house and I am just the PM and that she is going to look at it. Then again he starts to get aggressive with me with the texts and threatens me. I will post the texts saying that I am the only one there is no other person this is a secret person. You are the one that contacted me. in the contract it say you pay right away no it does not btw and that I am a lier and im misleading him and I am misrepresented . I would never do that to my brand. Also, he puts his behavior on me with his anger. blaming me. He then threatens to put a Lien on this property on Monday he came on Sat if I dont pay in the state of MN you have 180 days to pay anyone. by law he can't anyways. I also did give him the owner of the house number since he wanted to call me a lier. Then he goes on to tell me it's the job not about getting my feelings hurt. Mine are not hurt. I would never work with him ever again stay away he is a manipulative person who blames you for everything and threatens you. very rude and very unprofessional.

Brent is great.. until you give him your money and sign the contract. Then he is unresponsive, unprofessional and has no care for you. They built our deck, then redid it, then redid it again after the quality of the material was horrible (Ultra Deck) and the craftsmanship was lacking. After reading the third time I asked him to come over and talk in person… and then two days later he told me they were “cutting their loses. Can’t make you happy. Best of luck” like what???!!! Does that mean you’re never coming back and I’m stuck with half a deck, half a crappy deck!!! Just horrid. So bummed. So sad.

Unprofessional and overpriced. I would not recommend this business to anyone. The owner of the business is extremely unprofessional and does not follow up or give estimates in a timely manner. A former client of his told me that he contacted her after the job trying to make "advances" on her. Priced us about $300 over competitors on average.
