HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE! He doesn't care about the quality of his work. He only cares about finishing his work so he can move on to his next victim. I waited until the last minute to get my house sided before the deadline for the insurance payout. All REPUTABLE businesses were booked out 3 months and I only had 50 days. So I call the owner, Steve. He comes out and gives me an estimate when its 10 minutes until dark. So we agree on $10,800 and 2 weeks to complete. He then tells me his contractor license JUST expired and it would be renewed before the job was done, which never happened. He took 5 weeks to get it done! I can write a book on the nightmares and stress this guy has caused my family and I. Mainly, he has an excuse for every mistake. He cannot shut a gate when he leaves for the night, yes our dogs got out 3 times and we had to go shut gates at least 7 times after he left. If he shows up at all he starts at 11 a.m. and thinks he can work until dark. I asked him 3 times nicely to be gone by 8 pm. We get up at 4 a.m. most mornings. I threatened bodily harm 3 times after that because he was now disturbing my neighbors and they were complaining. Our city ordinance states 7 pm quitting time for contractors, but hey, he has no respect for others. He doesn't clean as he goes, no, he leaves everything lying around and then everything blows in the neighbors yards. After he supposedly cleaned up I filled a trash can with siding debris and picked up broken glass, candy wrappers, and over 300 nails and staples that were all in plain sight. When he makes a measurement error he puts the piece up anyway and if you call him out on it he says "yeah I know I'll fix it" then tries to hide it or he'll blame it on his inexperienced help. After he caulked the windows on the back of my house I told him NOT to do anymore caulking. We came home from a weekend away and he had caulked the front of the house too. Smeared caulk all over my patio and driveway. Air bubbles throughout and green caulk on my white window frames. 2 of the vinyl shake shingles I had him install in my gables have fallen to the ground. I have over 100 photographs of his horrible work and a lengthy voice recording of his excuses. Our house looks like crap. Ive gone through the full spectrum of emotions and now I just want to cry. I asked him to deduct his damages from what we owed him and he said no way. His work was a good deal. He had us so stressed out we just paid him what we owed him so we didn't have to look at him again.
