A-1 Construction Services of SC LLC

Unfortunately I ended up having the pathetic owner of A1 (A-1) Construction come to my house via a service call to Choice Home Warranty. He ordered the wrong A/C condenser for my house. He said he was going to order another one "at no extra charge" to me, "of course." He LIED. He then wanted an extra $450 before he would install it. He literally held it hostage until I would pay him. I cancelled the credit card payment I had originally given him for $500 and he fought it for months, making my life miserable. Another company eventually installed my condenser and they discovered that this creep had deliberately wired the HVAC lines improperly so that I was getting A/C when I turned on my furnace. The company that repaired the mess told me it was obvious that the wiring to the air handlers had DELIBERATELY been sabotaged. The owner of A1 or A-1 (he appears to deliberately change the spelling to get people off-track due to his TERRIBLE reviews). STAY AWAY from this crooked, temperamental, vindictive person at all costs!!!! He keeps an ad in The Greenville News. Yeah, he HAS to because he certainly isn't going to get business from recommendations.

Had an appointment set for 1p-3p for an HVAC inspection through a home warranty. They never showed up. Told warranty company they tried calling multiple times. And I didn’t answer. Not true. Took the day off for this bs. I to follow in the footsteps of former reviews. NEVER AGAIN

A-1 Construction was contracted to come to our home through a home warranty company. They gave us a time from 7am-11am, we confirmed that appointment but no one showed. When I called them I talked to a very rude gentleman who said he has other customers to take care of and they should have called us when "his son" was in route to our house. I have been on a conference call all morning and since I wasnt able to answer the phone "We will move on to our other customers" He told me thats just how our industry works. Well when I informed him I own a service company in the same type of industry and thats NOT how good companies work, the guy blew up on me and hung up. I was very nice the entire time but the guy had an attitude as soon as I told him no one showed up. His words were "well I dont know if you will actually be there if you dont answer the phone when we are on the way, so im going to move on to our other customers" No matter I had a confirmed appointment. Terrible customer service and reliability

I see why this business is not Accredited and currently has an F rating with the BBB. A-1 Construction Services of SC, LLC was assigned by my home warranty company to service the HVAC unit. The appointment was scheduled and A-1 informed us they would call 30 minutes prior to arrival for our service time between 3pm and 5pm. On the day of service at about 2:20pm the technician called as stated and I left my office headed home. While in route to my home I received a call from the technician. Three minutes later I returned the call informing the technician I was turning into my neighborhood. He informed me that he was already gone to his next service call. I asked how far he had gotten and he gave me the landmark which was approx. 15 minutes from my house. He stated it would need to be rescheduled. It was rescheduled for the following week between 1pm and 3pm. On that day I arrived home at 12:20. I waited, and waited. My husband called and no answer. At 4:30pm I called and was told that he was at my house at 2pm. I stated that was not possible. He said he knocked and rang the bell and no one answered. So I inquired about the 30 minute call prior to arrival. He said, “not this time” and hung up the phone. After the first visit there was a card in the door. After the “second” visit there was no sign of the visit to our home. In between we have communicated this with the home warranty company and they have assigned it to this company now three times with no resolution and he still don’t have air conditioning. I echo other reviews about this company being rude to customers and I personally feel they are unprofessional in how they conduct business. This has been my personal experience. I gave it a one star as that was my only option for the review. However, I would not give any stars for how they handle customer service. I cannot speak of the quality of their work because I was never able to experience it but I can not imagine it is good enough to warrant the poor customer service.
