I would (((NOT))) recommend this contractor. I hired him for a few jobs and although the quality of work became more and more sloppy, I tried to be loyal and stick to the same person. The last straw was an installation of a BLACK tub that I paid almost $3000 for and he was rushing and used white caulking to seal it. he built a glass shower that leaks and also instead of caulking my backsplash and sidesplash with clear silicone to make it look like one piece, he put white caulking through all the seams, im pretty sure because he was too lazy to get more. He didnt even ask what we wanted. All of my trim is black so i would have clearly wanted clear in the seams. finally, I bought two large 8x4 unfinished butcher blocks for counter tops for a basement bar. instead of asking us how much counter use we wanted, he cut it up assuming he would block off the majority of it on the second tier and when I saw it I explained I wanted it the size I bought it. He glued it back together and now its like a frankenstein countertop with noticable cuts everywhere - again, he didn't ask how we wanted it. Any professional would know that butcher block is not cheap and should not chop it up like that!! i could go on about crapy paint jobs and poorly installed light fictures but I wont. He took advantage of my kindness because I didn't complain about every little thing. I considered taking money off the final payment but instead, I aired my greivance and provided the check. he took the check, cashed it right away, no sorry or offer to take off anything even after i made him aware. nothing was said, just took the check took off. SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE. Appears to be "nice" but cuts A LOT of corners!!
