The inspector was friendly. Just not very competent. I had a $1000 plumbing repair before I even moved in. The plumber was surprised the inspector hadn't caught the very obvious problem. I'm sitting in a cold house now because my boiler had to be turned off due to a large crack that was emitting dangerous levels of exhaust. Again, less than a month after inspection. Technician said it was obvious and should have been caught. A shame because if the inspector from Heartland would have caught this, I would still have bought the house (I love it) but I could have received money at closing from the seller in negotiations. Now I'm stuck with lemons. Incompetent? Or the scam as it is intended? Disappointed.
