House of Turquoise | Jan 2013 | This beautiful Minneapolis New Home designed by Jalin Design was placed on one of the few remaining empty lots in south Minneapolis. The traditional detailing and scale of this 3700 square foot home's exterior helps it blend easily into the existing surrounding neighborhood. Working with Vujovich Designer Beth Malmberg, the homeowner's use of turquoise as an accent color throughout the interior of the home was inspired by the House of Turquoise blog page. You have to love the open bright spaces, the many built-ins and great use of color. | $750k | Minneapolis, MN
Art Deco Entertainment | Mar 2012 | This impressive East Harriet home had received a number of striking updates in the past. The new homeowners wanted something equally special in renovating the minimally finished basement. The homeowner had spotted an antique bar that became the inspiration for much of the rooms art deco detailing. A new custom, Lyptus version of that bar was created with chrome banding and a honed stone top that mimicked the antique version. These details were then repeated on the illuminated columns that travel around the room and flank focal points. Detailed ceiling molding and custom carpet define each of the areas and create the old deco theater motif. | $300k | Minneapolis, MN
Minneapolis ASID Showcase Home | May 2010 | Designed by local architect Lars Petersen, this 2010 Minneapolis ASID Showcase Home and 2010 COTY Award winning project was primarily the creation of a Master Suite, while making other improvements and finish upgrades throughout the balance of the home. A new balcony was created over the existing front porch, while the front porch received a new woven blue vinyl ceiling and other new finishes. The 2nd floor guest bath was completely renovated and the 3rd floor study was converted into a Destination Room, a place for yoga and meditation. Incorporated into the destination room is a small nook, complete with a custom built-in pullout Tempur-Pedic bed. | $217k | Minneapolis, MN
West Isles Colonial | Jan 2010 | Winner of a 2011 ROMA, 2011 Chrysalis and 2010 COTY Award, this formidable 2010 Parade of Homes Remodelers Showcase home originally lacked a connected kitchen/family space, family dining area and mudroom. Additionally, the family hoped to remodel the kitchen, kid's bath and laundry room as well as create a home gym and new bedroom for their infant daughter. Working with local architect Joseph G. Metzler, an extensive, three-story colonial addition was created on a site that lacked accessibility due to extensive formal gardens that surround the home. Possibly the most unique aspect of the project, a 3500 lb indoor resistance pool was craned up over formal gardens, past mature oak trees and down into it's own conditioned basement space. | $800k | Minneapolis, MN
Minnetonka Geene & Greene Remodel | Nov 2009 | Working with SALA architect, Joseph G. Metzler, Vujovich transformed this non-descript 80s lake home into an Arts & Crafts gem. Exquisite millwork, cabinetry and detailing are a few of the well-thought out features. Warm hand-made tile and solid oak floors complete the homes earthy feel, while expansive runs of windows offer great views to the lake. New cedar shakes with a warm color scheme and a welcoming covered entry provide a formidable nod to Greene & Greene. | $650k | Mound, MN
The Idea Farm | Jun 2009 | This green custom home is a sophisticated blend of rustic and refinement. Everything about it was purposefully planned for a couple committed to living close to the earth and following a lifestyle of comfort in simplicity. Affectionately named "The Idea Farm," for its innovation in green and sustainable building practices, this home is only the second new home in Minnesota to receive a Gold Rating by MN GreenStar. | $1.5m | Afton, MN
URBAN RETREAT | Jan 2004 | As one of Vujovich's most recognizable, award winning projects; 2004 Midwest Regional COTY award, 2004 National COTY award and 2010 MN COTY for "BEST OF THE DECADE," this home Minneapolis remodel required the dramatic transformation of an uninspired 1953 split-level rambler into an extraordinary home that captures the tone and quality of the Arts &Crafts style, while integrating the clients desire for interior vistas and exquisite detail. The original structure provided much of the space but none of the drama that the homeowners required. | $1.3m | Minneapolis, MN
Chalet Home | Aug 2001 | This chalet new home is comfortably sited in a beautiful nature setting. All elements inside and out reflect a laid back lifestyle reflective of the serene setting. It's aesthetics of soft-movement slate and rich, glowing cherry blend Craftsman styling with a modern take. | $3m | Lakeland, MN
