James Sessions came out to do a water repair at my home a few weeks ago on a Saturday. He claimed he had located the leak and fixed it. On Wednesday, my neighbor notified me that water was pouring out from the area that James had made the repair. I called and texted James multiple times but he did not return my call. Since it was after 5:00 pm, I had to call Union County Public Works to come out to my house to find the main shut-off valve to the water line going into the house. I was without water until my brother, Robert Troutman, who is a contractor could out on Friday to fix the water line. The work that James had done had totally broken apart. My brother fixed that and saw that the meter was still running so he dug a little further and found another section of the pipe with a crack in it. My brother fixed that section as well and the meter finally quit spinning. Not only did James improperly repair one section of the water pipe, but he also failed to locate the second damaged area of the pipe. I finally reached James on Friday and told him about the improper repair. James promised to refund the $250.00 I had paid him. He promised to come out last Saturday with the money and he was a no-show. He then promised to come out this past Saturday to refund my money and again a no-show. He is now avoiding my phone calls and text messages. Since the pipe burst from the failed repair work that James did and my water spewed out from the burst pipe, I have received an exorbitant water bill from Union County Public Works for over $1200.00. This is due to the tremendous amount of water that poured out over several days from the shotty repair work. This guy does not know what he is doing so avoid him at all costs. He will rip you off and not properly repair anything for you. I intend to sue him since he is too cowardly to face me and refund the money he owes me. Also interesting is that all his so-called business phone lines are always disconnected or unable to accept calls. The numbers are 843-672-8395, 704-516-7499, 704-776-2148, 704-727-4337. What kind of reputable business doesn't have a working business phone line??? Bestway Plumbing should rename itself to Wrong Way Plumbing!

I initially found him on Thumbtack under his old business name Best Way plumbing. He was supposed to fix my back-flow which was stuck. He said, it needed replacing and charged me $250. But he did not replace it. He just removed it and attached a pipe without the back-flow. He kept asking me for work. I believed him as genuine person in need of a chance. I hired him as a full time gardener. He wanted me to pay upfront. But I told him, I can pay him monthly. I paid him for 3 months and he probably only did one month's worth of work. He took $300 from me for irrigation repair in advance. After that he did not show up for 3 months. I had to find other pros to repair and finish the work. That is when I found out he did not do a quality job at all. He contacted me a few times for money and work. But I told him unless he finishes the work I already paid him for, I wont pay up. He finally shows up at my door one afternoon. He tells me he will take care of everything the backflow, the yard and all. As soon as I leave for work leaving him with my Yard, he immediately left without doing any work. No gardening, no back-flow replacement, no word, nothing. I reported him to NCLBGC. I don't think I will get my money back. Stay clear of him. Do not fall in trap for the cheap rates he promises and let him into your house. I really wanted to believe in him. I learnt an expensive lesson.
