Metz and Son, Inc. is licensed in the state of New Jersey and we are required to obtain 34 hours of training for each 3 year license renewal. We are a 3rd generation business that has been in operation since 1928, founded by Preston W. Metz. Preston worked for the Ingersoll - Rand Company in Phillipsburg, NJ and decided to start his own business in the electrical field. In the beginning, Preston wired barns for the farmers and installed wiring in homes that had no electrical service. When he retired, Preston handed the company down to Donald J. Metz. The company is currently operated by Randall S. Metz.
