Architect - Red Bank, NJ
Mark R. Fitzsimmons, an Architect, concentrates his practice on in all his work. His practice is inspired by historical preservation details and traditional building styles. The firm concentrates on educating his clients in establishing project goals with a realistic budget. To assist the client with building cost, the Architect provides a building project cost estimate at the start of the project. The Architect will assist the Client through the project by providing guidance in selecting quality building details in line with the building project cost. His firm has prescribed a 'System Approach' for establishing long term savings on maintenance and energy cost for his clients. The firm selects a Design Team for each project that will be comprised of Professional Engineers and other Design and Building Consultants for key areas of the project. These Consultants can shorten the time frame to complete the project and will assist in 'Valued Engineering' to assure Code Compliance and budgetary cost projections. The Firm has interior design experience and believes that all projects start with a thoughtful overall plan that will define spaces with functional purposes and an interior style that is aesthetically pleasing. Designing for energy efficiency is now a major program issue that is influencing how buildings will be orientated, the use of sustainable materials, the design of the , natural day lighting, window fenestration and MEP equipment selection and coordination. A design concept that is carried through all of the Firm's projects is the relationship of certain interior rooms of the building with the exterior landscape to expand interior spaces outward for a functional relationship and purpose. Borough Architect Mark Fitzsimmons has worked for the Borough of Little Silver for 10 years and has provided historic Preservation services for two State and National historic registered buildings. Mark Fitzsimmons has designed and provided site observation work for the alteration and preservation of the interior and exterior of the Little Silver Railroad Station.
