Dennis was able to fit me in on a fast turn around. Very detailed in his work and demonstrated his experience refinishing wood floors. Appreciated his help picking out a new color for the floor and knowledge about how the final finish will look. Sanding, staining, 3 coats of varnish and the floors look great. Definitely a guy you can trust to do the job right with years of experience backing him.

Horrible company that does atrocious work. Not only that, but the owner, Dennis, is an enabler for his felon son who causes all kinds of trouble in the neighborhood and around town–he's been charged with stealing, kidnapping, and attempted murder. Yeah, really upstanding folks. Do yourself a favor and RUN from these creeps.

Workmanship in my home was incompetent and completely unacceptable - I do not recommend. To begin, my wood floors are 4-years new, we just wanted a different color of stain. Dennis Poole was contracted the contractor I actually hired for the job, they are from Taylors, SC. They hired Dennis without my knowledge or consent so I was unable to perform my due diligence in researching Dennis Poole. We had no idea they subcontracted this job out. This was supposed to be a 4 day job that turned into 8, costing us more money in hotel and boarding fees (an extra $1,500.) plus living expenses. Dennis said the job was taking more time because the floors weren't drying, he claimed we had a moisture problem, but that turned out to be an excuse. They even "hot-wired" their sander to our dryer outlet. The equipment they used was old, unkept and scratched our floors so badly you can see it in the stain. After we moved back into our home, we found a lot of damage, uneven stain, we had waves in the floors, chatter marks, foot prints in the finish and much more that we reported to our contractor but we couldn't seem to get Dennis back out. After months of trying to get Dennis back out to fix our floors with no luck and our contractor not allowing us to hire another flooring professional we had to hire a Certified Flooring Inspector to assess the damage. According to his report we did not have a moisture problem, the layers of sealer and stain were abnormally thick they would not dry before they applied more coats. Dennis blamed everything on us including the foot prints! They didn't even apply a poly finish, they only used 2 coats of sealer with poly, this is not a proper finish nor is it industry standard. They rushed through the job despite having 8 days to complete it. They did all the work during the last few days because they didn't bother to show up. They slopped up the floors, our baseboards and left our brand new, stained quarter round outside in the rain! List of Problems: 1. Shoe prints in the stain 2. Did not Cover Air Vents - my vents are now contaminated with floor dust need to be cleaned 3. Gouges, stop marks, swirl marks 4. Hair, dust and carpet stuck in the stain 5. Gauged floors 6. Uneven stain 7. Uneven Sanding 8. One coat of stain 9. 2 Coats of sealer (with poly) 10. NO POLY FINISH According to Mr. Poole sealer with poly is poly, however, BONA and my certified flooring inspector have confirmed that sealer with poly is not a proper finish. The floors should have had THREE coats of actual polyurethane to protect them leaving my floors vulnerable to deep scratches and being easily dented. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS.
