Ben Otto Electric LLC

Our project was off to a good start on 9/2/20. Ben was responsive and did a great job with communication. The quality of the work was also good. Among other things, he did the electrical rough in. The plan was that after the sheetrock was finished, he would come back and complete the wiring and installation of light fixtures. On 10/28/20 I contacted Ben to tell him we were ready to schedule him back in to finish the job. He told me he was down a guy so couldn't send anyone over that week. On 11/4/20 I asked him if he could schedule someone the following week. He responded "No". On 11/5/20 he told me he couldn't come back until after Thanksgiving. On 12/4/20 I contacted him again and he did not respond. Today is 1/15/21 and I still have not heard from him, so it seems he abandoned the job. It is understandable that "things come up" and delays can happen, though there is no excuse for poor communication. Also, he shouldn't have started my job if he wasn't committed to finishing it in a reasonable amount of time!
