PVC is Poly-Vinyl-Chloride. CPVC is simply chlorinated PVC. The use depends upon what you want to do. PVC is generally for drain waste and vent pipes, and cold water distribution only, outside of the building (such as irrigation). CPVC is designed for hot and cold water distribution inside of a building. Thank you.
